El Día de Los Muertos is a ritual developed over 3,000 years. The Aztecs, who were the ones to initiate this celebration, and saw death as the beginning of the cycle of life. They didn't believe in grieving. Instead, they invited the spirits of their loved one's once a year to commemorate their lives here on earth.
In this special event, we will share the ancestral history behind El Día De Los Muertos and discuss the symbolism behind each item we add to our Day of the Dead altars. This is an opportunity to learn from the Aztec culture about their beliefs on death and life and how we can integrate their teachings into our everyday lives.
We'll come together to enjoy cacao, create our own fresh marigold garland and honor our loved ones who passed over with a small ceremony.
